Condo security monitoring is a service where off-site operators watch a residential building's cameras, answer its intercom and elevator calls, and manage door access. It gives condo boards and property managers round-the-clock coverage of common areas at a lower cost than staffing a concierge desk every hour.
Many buildings keep a daytime concierge and use monitoring for nights, or replace a desk that sits empty most of the time. Others add monitoring to a staffed desk so the concierge is not the only person watching 60 cameras.

Condo security questions
Can remote monitoring replace our overnight concierge?
For many buildings, yes. A remote operator can answer the intercom, check visitors, watch common areas and answer elevator calls overnight. Buildings with frequent late deliveries or residents who need in-person help may keep a guard and use monitoring as support.
How do you protect residents' privacy?
We only watch common areas the corporation already covers with cameras, never views into units. Access to video is limited to operators on duty, and footage is shared only with the board, the property manager or police as your plan allows.
Does the board need to approve the change?
Changes to building security are a board decision, and residents should be told about new monitoring or concierge arrangements. We can provide a written summary of the service for the board and for a resident notice.
Can you work with our existing cameras and fob system?
Usually yes. We connect to most common camera systems and many access control platforms, including Kantech, ButterflyMX and Brivo. We check both during the assessment.
What happens with package theft?
Operators watch the package room and lobby, challenge anyone taking parcels without a fob, and send the video to management. Many buildings also add parcel lockers or restrict the package room to fob access.
