Commercial Security Camera Installation in Toronto and the GTA

Cameras placed where they will actually catch a face or a plate at night, set up for live monitoring from day one. We survey the site, design coverage, install and configure, then keep the system healthy. If your current cameras are good, we reuse them.

  • Site survey and camera plan before any work starts
  • Cameras, speakers and analytics set up for monitoring
  • Existing systems checked and reused where possible

Why it matters

Cameras installed for monitoring, not just recording

A camera that records is not always a camera that can be monitored. Live monitoring needs clear night images, analytics that detect people and vehicles, speakers for talk-down and enough internet upload for our operators to see the feed. We design and install with all four in mind.

Many of the systems we are asked to monitor were installed to look good on a floor plan: too few cameras on the fence line, no lighting, wide lenses where a face should be. Fixing that later costs more than getting it right the first time.

How it works

Our installation process

  1. Site survey

We walk the property day and night, note entry points, lighting, cabling routes and what you need to see.

  2. Coverage plan

You get a camera plan with locations, camera types and what each one will show, and a written quote.

  3. Installation

Cameras, recorders, speakers and network gear are installed and cabled neatly, with minimal disruption.

  4. Setup and tuning

We set angles, analytics zones and schedules, and test night images before sign-off.

  5. Monitoring and service

The system connects to our centre if you choose monitoring, and we check its health regularly.

What we install

Equipment for commercial sites

We choose equipment for the job, not a brand quota. For new systems we favour commercial-grade brands such as Axis and Avigilon, and we monitor most existing brands.

IP cameras

Fixed, dome, bullet, multi-sensor and PTZ cameras with infrared for night.

Analytics

Person and vehicle detection that ignores wind, rain and animals.

Talk-down speakers

Horn speakers and strobes so operators can warn intruders live.

Recorders and storage

NVRs or cloud storage sized for the retention period you need.

Networking

PoE switches, wireless bridges and cellular backup for remote sites.

Temporary camera setups

Solar or mains-powered camera setups for construction sites and events.

Already have cameras?

We check what you have before we sell you anything

During the survey we test your current cameras at night, check the recorder and the internet connection, and tell you which cameras can be monitored as they are, which need adjusting, and where new ones are needed.

  • Night image quality at each camera
  • Analytics support or cloud analytics options
  • Recorder health and retention
  • Upload speed for live monitoring

FAQ

Security camera installation questions

How many cameras does my business need?

It depends on the entry points, the size of the lot and what you need to identify. A small store may need 4 to 8 cameras; a yard or construction site often needs cameras along every fence line. The site survey gives you an exact number and shows what each camera will see.

Can you reuse my existing cameras?

Often, yes. We test your current cameras and recorder, and only replace equipment that cannot deliver a usable night image or cannot connect for monitoring.

Do you install cameras on construction sites without power?

Yes. For sites without permanent power we use temporary setups powered by solar panels and batteries or temporary service, with cellular connections for live monitoring.

Are there privacy rules for business cameras in Ontario?

Yes. Private businesses in Ontario fall under Canada's federal privacy law, PIPEDA. Cameras should cover only what you need, avoid areas where people expect privacy such as washrooms, and be announced with signs. We plan camera placement with these rules in mind.

Do I have to buy monitoring if you install the cameras?

No. You can buy installation only. Most clients add monitoring later because the system is already set up for it.
